Norwich City will discover their FA Cup third round opponents in Monday night's draw when the Premier League and Championship clubs enter the world famous cup competition.

The Canaries are ball number 29 in the draw, which will be broadcast live on BBC Two and BBC Radio Five Live from 7pm, with third round ties scheduled to take place between January 3 and 6.

City were dumped out of the competition in a third round replay at Fulham last season after losing 3-0 at Craven Cottage following a 1-1 home draw. The Canaries have also been on the end of a recent giant-killing, when non-league Luton Town triumphed 1-0 at Carrow Road in the fourth round back in 2013.

The Canaries had a decent FA Cup pedigree in their past, reaching three semi-finals, famously as a third division side in 1959, as well as twice in four years (1989 and 1992).

City could be drawn against one of eight non-league teams still left in the competition, which include the likes of Northern Premier Division Blyth Spartans who knocked out League Two Hartlepool on Friday.

Former Newcastle and England striker Alan Shearer and Humberside grassroots volunteer Paul Adamson will conduct the draw taking place in Hull.
