Norwich City's development squad slipped to a late penalty defeat in a 2-1 Premier League Two loss at West Brom on Monday afternoon.

The Canaries appeared to be heading for a point at Albion's training ground when Benny Ashley-Seal cancelled out Callum Morton's first half strike but Alex Bradley sealed the points from the spot in the 85th minute, when Jack Fitzwater was upended in the Canaries' box.

Ray Grant captained the visitors after being recalled from a loan stint at National League Dagenham and Redbridge for the rest of the season.

Diallang Jaiyesimi went close with a powerful 25-yard effort that clipped a post but Morton slotted past Jake Hallett in the 19th minute only for the prolific Ashley-Seal to equalise nine minutes later.

The hosts dominated the second period, with Nick Clayton-Phillips and Kyle Edwards going close before Fitzwater went down inside the Norwich area and Bradley beat Hallett from the spot.

• WBA: Rose, Fitzwater, O'Shea, Melbourne, Chambers (Wilding 70), Bradley, Harper, Edwards, McCourt (Clayton-Phillips 45), Morton (Pierce 88). Sub (not used): Keranovic.
