Norwich City trio Russell Martin, Steven Whittaker and Robert Snodgrass have all been named in Scotland's squad for next month's World Cup qualifier against Croatia.

Gordon Strachan has retained the three Canaries in a 28-man party for the trip to Zagreb on June 7.

Snodgrass missed the 2-0 World Cup qualifying defeat to Serbia in March after being sent off four days earlier at Hampden Park in a 2-1 home defeat to Wales. Whittaker made his return to the international ranks in the Serbia game after an injury-hit season for the Canaries. Martin has yet to feature under new Scottish national boss Strachan after winning four caps under his predecessor Craig Levein.

The City players join team mates Wes Hoolahan and Declan Rudd on international duty this summer. Rudd is part of Stuart Pearce's England Under-21 squad who will compete in the European Championships in Israel. Hoolahan was recently named in the Republic of Ireland squad for upcoming friendlies against England, Georgia and Spain along with a World Cup qualifier against the Faroe Islands in Dublin on June 7.
