Martin Olsson knows family bragging rights are on the line in Norwich City's Championship trip to old club Blackburn and a potential match-up with his identical twin Markus in the Rovers team.

The duo will hope to be on opposite sides at Ewood Park and Markus revealed ahead of the Canaries' bid for a seventh win in nine since Alex Neil's arrival that there was plenty of chat in the Olsson household.

'The last couple of days I have begun to think about it because my brother has been calling me,' said Markus, who was born a minute earlier than City's Swedish international. 'He's looking forward to it because he was here for so many years.

'What has he been saying? I can't say that here but let's just say he's been talking a bit too much. That's why I want to make sure that he won't be talking that much.

'He knows it's going to be a difficult game. He knows how it is to play at Ewood Park. Now he sees we're strong at home and sees what we've done in the FA Cup as well.'

Markus, speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph, respects the threat from the promotion-chasing Canaries.

'They had a dip a couple of months ago but you can see the quality they have,' he said. 'But the Championship isn't easy and we'll try to give them a good game when they come over.'
