Jacob Murphy produced when it really mattered with a stunning free kick helping Blackpool secure a 1-1 Championship draw against Bolton at Bloomfield Road.

Murphy moved ahead of his twin Josh by scoring the second league goal of his young career during a productive loan spell with the Seasiders, but Lee Clark's strugglers could only hold onto the lead for seven minutes before Lee Chung-Yong's 82nd minute leveller.

Murphy, who joined Blackpool last month on a youth loan until February 2, revealed his preparations had been less than ideal before an eye-catching home debut.

'When I hit it and saw it nip inside the post I was already celebrating,' said Murphy, speaking to Blackpool's official site. 'We'd been taking free-kicks, me, Jay (Jamie O'Hara) and Chrissy (Chris Eagles) all week and I've been poor. At the time I thought it would be enough, but it wasn't to be. We can take a lot of positives from the game, everyone worked their socks off, but it's two points dropped for us.

'I was really happy with the home debut. The fans were amazing, we heard them throughout the whole game, so it's great that we've got support like that behind us. We're itching to get that (first) win and you can see from this game that we're getting close. We were about ten minutes away. We're disappointed, but excited that this can be the start of a run for us. It's one point on the board, so we've got to push on from here.'

• Norwich City's development squad's Premier League Under-21 Cup tie at Fulham on Sunday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. No new date has been announced for the re-arranged tie, but City's youngsters are scheduled to visit Fulham in their next development league fixture early next month.
