Norwich City will gear up for their Championship campaign with a pre-season trip to Italy which includes a game against Serie A outfit Sampdoria.

Neil Adams' squad will open their summer schedule with a game at non league neighbours Dereham Town on July 12 after a five day training camp at the FA's National Football Centre at St George's Park.

A City XI will then travel to Skrill Conference Premier Braintree Town three days after the game at Aldiss Park on Tuesday July 15 before the squad fly to Turin on Friday July 18.

The Canaries will then take on Serie B side Novara (July 20) and Sampdoria (July 23) during a nine-day training camp in Italy from July 18 to July 26. The game against Sampdoria is due to take place at the Chatillon/Saint Vincent training venue. The mini-trip will conclude with a game against opponents yet to be named on July 25.

The Canaries will wrap up their pre-season plans at Carrow Road against French club OGC Nice on Monday July 28 and La Liga team Celta Vigo on Friday August 1, with the Championship season set to begin on Saturday August 9.

Tickets for the two home friendlies against OGC Nice and Celta Vigo will be available on general sale from 10am on Tuesday, June 17. Tickets for each game are priced at £15 for adults, £10 over-65s, £5 under-17s and £1 for under-12s. The upper tiers at Carrow Road will not be open for these matches.
