Matt Ball struck twice as a youthful City Reserve side secured a comfortable Totesport.com Combination win at Colney.

The visitors found themselves under pressure from the word go but held out until the hour mark when Tom Adeyemi headed home a cross from skipper Damon Lathrope to open the scoring.

The Canaries doubled their advantage 10 minutes later as Ball curled the ball past keeper Chris Dunn after a cross from Remi Gordon had been deflected into his path.

The hosts continued to dominate and it was no more than they deserved when Ball netted his second with just eight minutes remaining. This time a shot from Partick Drmola was deflected into his path and he produced a cool finish to put a gloss on the victory.
