Former Norwich City keeper Mark Bunn has linked up again with Tony Parks at Premier League rivals Aston Villa.

Bunn has signed a two-year deal following his release by the Canaries at the end of last season and will be reunited in the Midlands with ex-Canaries' goalkeeping coach Parks, who along with former first team coach Mark Robson, are now part of Tim Sherwood's backroom staff.

The 30-year-old had been touted with a move to Championship new boys Bristol City but admitted the chance to move to the beaten FA Cup finalists was too good to turn down.

'I'm delighted to find myself working with Tony Parks again as he was the goalkeeping coach at Norwich City so he knows me really well,' he told Villa's official site. 'Aston Villa is a huge football club and this was too good an opportunity to miss out on.

'I'm looking forward to getting to know my new team-mates over in Portugal at our pre-season training camp and I can't wait to get started.'

Bunn is expected to provide competition for first choice Brad Guzan with Shay Given expected to move this summer.

Bunn started his professional career at Northampton Town before signing for Blackburn Rovers where he gained further experience during loan spells at Leicester City and Sheffield United before joining City in 2012.

Bunn made 31 appearances for the Canaries but was out of the picture last season with Declan Rudd the understudy to John Ruddy.

City are in the market for a new keeper with third choice Remi Matthews joining League One Burton on loan earlier this week.
