Norwich City's January recruitment push does not involve a move for ex-Swedish Under-21 international defender Joseph Baffo.

Alex Neil has been touted with a host of defensive reinforcements in the lead up to the window opening, with Dinamo Zagreb right-back Ivo Pinto tipped to join the Canaries, but Baffo is not on City's radar.

Speculation on Sunday night of a potential deal was whipped up by reports of a flight landing at Norwich Airport from German town Braunschweig, where Baffo plays his club football for second tier Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig.

The 23-year-old was linked to the Canaries in the summer, after playing a leading role in his country's surprise Uefa U21 European Championship success, but Baffo moved from Swedish club Halmstads to Germany. The defender has since made 17 appearances for Braunschweig, who are fifth in the table ahead of the winter break in Germany.
