Remi Matthews has returned to Plymouth after a week in Norfolk with his family.

The keeper missed Argyle's last two matches after returning home for the birth of his first child and trained with the Canaries after his daughter had to return to hospital for tests.

Matthews posted on Twitter over the weekend to thank Plymouth and Norwich fans for their words of support and confirmed his daughter has returned home – and has since posted on Instagram to show he is back with the Pilgrims.

Derek Adams' team drew 0-0 at home with play-off rivals Portsmouth on Saturday and remain sixth in the table, with a game in hand, ahead of a trip to lowly Northampton Town on Saturday.

Elsewhere in League One, Shrewsbury were not in action at the weekend but Ben Godfrey and Carlton Morris will hope to be back in action at home to Charlton on Tuesday night.

It wasn't the best of weekends for City players in Scotland, with Russell Martin playing all of Rangers' 4-0 defeat to arch rivals Celtic in front of almost 50,000 fans in the Scottish Cup semi-finals at Hampden Park on Sunday.

Kenny McLean was suspended for the other semi-final at the national stadium the previous day, as his Aberdeen side lost 3-0 to Motherwell.

Over in Holland, Todd Cantwell played the full 90 minutes and set up the second goal as Fortuna Sittard won 2-0 at home against Den Bosh on Friday, to reclaim top spot in the second tier.

But Marcel Franke was unable to prevent Dynamo Dresden losing 4-0 at home to Holstein Kiel in the German second tier on Saturday, with relegation still a worry.

Back in England, Diallang Jaiyesimi was an unused substitute as Grimsby drew 2-2 at home to Barnet in League Two, as was Paul Jones as Exeter drew 1-1 at Accrington.

Michee Efete was not involved as Torquay beat Halifax 1-0 but striker Mason Bloomfield, who joins City in the summer, played 81 minutes of Dagenham and Redbridge's 2-1 win at Wrexham.
