Robbie Brady is warning Norwich City must buck up their ideas to survive in the Premier League.

The Republic of Ireland international's stunning long range strike put the Canaries in front against West Ham last time out but after Wes Hoolahan added a second, the Hammers roared back to earn a point.

Brady admitted coming so soon after Liverpool had staged a remarkable comeback to win 5-4 at Carrow Road Alex Neil's squad must change the script - despite ending a run of five straight league defeats.

'It was a tough spell. When you don't get a result for that length of time people start to talk about negative things and it can get on top of you so hopefully that result puts an end to it, albeit it wasn't the one we were after,' he said. 'Of course we are confident we can still stay up. We know exactly what we have to do, it is about going and carrying that out. There'll be a lot of twists and turns between now and the end of the season, you hope more in our favour, but really it is just making sure we are the right side of the line.

'It seems to be the same story. Even if we do take the lead and look comfortable we are conceding late goals and shooting ourselves in the foot. We have 12 games to go, we have put another point on the board and hopefully we can pick up enough.'

Brady's sublime long range hit against West Ham was a bittersweet moment after City failed to hang on to all three points.

'I nicked it high up the pitch and the way the defender then shaped up it made it a little bit harder for me to run him, so I tried to used his body to put a bit of shape on it and it went in,' he said. 'I think just the way it fell I decided to hit it and luckily enough for me it went in. I was happy that it counted for us to get something. We need to pick up a few more between now and the end of the season as well.'
