Daniel Farke is on the radar of Bundesliga giants Eintracht Frankfurt as they search for a successor to Niko Kovac.

The Norwich City head coach insists he is happy at Carrow Road but the 41-year-old is on the shortlist to replace Kovac, who will join Bayern Munich this summer.

Farke told Germany television channel SPORT1: “I still have a contract in Norwich until 2019 and I feel comfortable here. I do not say anything about rumours and speculation.”

That hasn’t stopped Frankfurt from looking at the work Farke has done since leaving Borussia Dortmund II last summer.

Whilst some City fans are still sceptical about the direction of the Canaries, particularly after the 5-1 humbling at Sheffield Wednesday on the final day, Farke is firmly in the thoughts of the corridors of power at Frankfurt.

“We see a lot of coaches on the market, including Daniel Farke, doing a very good job and developing very well at Norwich City,” said sporting director Fredi Bobic.

Former West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is also under consideration after being sacked by the Hammers earlier this season.

Frankfurt could yet achieve Europa League football next season if they can win their final game of the season at second-placed Schalke next weekend whilst they have also got a German Cup final clash to look forward to against Bayern.

It remains to be seen if Frankfurt follow up their interest but if the German wanted to go back to his homeland, it could be an option on the table for him.

However, with Farke contracted until the end of next season, Norwich are in the driving seat and sporting director Stuart Webber will be keen to keep the former Dortmund man here to complete the job he has started at Carrow Road.
