Manager Gordon Strachan has regularly picked the Canaries duo in his squads in the past year and has done so again for games against Georgia and Poland.

Brighton-born Martin, who qualifies for Scotland through his father, has so far won 12 caps for his adopted country and former Rangers full-back Whittaker has 25 caps.

The Scots play the first of their Group D games in the upcoming international break against Georgia, at Ibrox on Saturday, October 11.

They then travel to Warsaw to face Poland on Tuesday, October 14.

The pair join City team-mate Wes Hoolahan in receiving call-ups for the international break, who is in the Republic of Ireland squad for Euro 2016 qualifiers against Gibraltar and world champions Germany.
