Norwich City duo Russell Martin and Robert Snodgrass have been called up to the Scotland squad for next week's friendly against Australia.

The duo are part of a 24-man squad for the game at Easter Road on Wednesday, August 15 just three days before the Canaries' Premier League bow at Fulham.

Norwich's summer signing Steven Whittaker is not included in Craig Levein's squad with the former Rangers man set to miss the start of the season after damaging ankle ligaments in the recent friendly win at Celtic. City boss Chris Hughton could also be without the likes of John Ruddy and Steve Morison for part of the the final week of pre-season with England and Wales also in scheduled friendly action next week.
