Bolton Wanderers have agreed to sign Marc Tierney when the defender's contract with the Canaries finishes at the end of June.

The 27-year-old made just one Premier League appearance for Norwich last season under manager Chris Hughton in the 5-0 mauling at Fulham on the opening day of the season.

Hughton preferred to use Javier Garrido at left back and, with the Spaniard completing a permanent move from Lazio earlier this month after initially signing on loan, Tierney knew his days were numbered.

Bolton manager Dougie Freedman acted quickly to conclude the deal with regular full back Marcos Alonso set for a move to Fiorentina.
