Norwich City have sealed their seventh signing of a productive summer transfer window with a deal for Belgian international Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe.
The 25-year-old has signed a three year deal, with another year's option, after completing his move from Club Brugge for an undisclosed fee, although reports in Belgium claim the Canaries have paid £4m for the midfielder.
Odjidja-Ofoe travelled to England earlier this week to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms and City boss Neil Adams confirmed the Canaries were in advanced talks with the player when he spoke to the media at Colney on Thursday.
Odjidja-Ofoe was one of his prime targets to replace QPR-bound Leroy Fer and joins Scottish teenager Conor McGrandles, who also moved to Carrow Road earlier this week. The duo will not be available for this weekend's Championship home game against Bournemouth with City officials awaiting international clearance, but Adams is pleased to have secured a long time target.
'He's a player we've tracked all summer with a view to signing, particularly if we lost one or two of our players in the transfer window,' Adams told the club's official site. 'I'm absolutely delighted we've signed him. He's a versatile and very attack-minded midfielder who can play in a number of positions.'
Odjidja-Ofoe made 30 appearances for Brugge in the Belgian Pro League last season and scored three goals. The midfielder also has five caps for Belgium and used his personal twitter account to announce the news on Friday afternoon.
He tweeted: 'I am happy to join Norwich City FC. Looking forward to get busy with the team. Thanks to everybody from Norwich FC for the great welcome. Hereby I also want to thank Club Bruges for the last five seasons. I wish them all the best for the future.'
