Steven Naismith has completed his much-anticipated transfer from Everton to Norwich City, in a deal reportedly worth £8million.
The 29-year-old forward came close to joining the Canaries last summer but has gone on to score four goals in 13 games for the Toffees this season instead, including a hat-trick against champions Chelsea in the Premier League in September.
He has now signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Norwich, becoming the club's fifth signing of the January transfer window.
In total the Scotland international has made 378 senior appearances and scored 93 goals, following spells with Kilmarnock and Rangers in his homeland.
Naismith has been capped 41 times by his country, winning his first cap against the Faroe Islands in June 2007 as a 20-year-old, before going on to captain Scotland Under-21s.
'I'm very happy to have signed because now I can concentrate on the football side of things,' Naismith said, speaking to City's official website.
'Norwich have displayed class in the way they've done their business all the way through. They've shown how much they wanted me, which is great, and I'm delighted to be here.'
He won the Scottish Football Writers' Young Player of the Year award in 2006 and Professional Football Association Scotland's Young Player of the Year award in 2007.
During his time at Rangers, where he played alongside current Canaries players Steven Whittaker and Kyle Lafferty, he won three league titles, two League Cups and a Scottish Cup, before leaving for Everton in 2012.
City boss Alex Neil added: 'We are delighted to conclude this deal and bring Steven to the club.
'He's a proven performer at Premier League level and an established international with Scotland so arrives with excellent pedigree.'
Naismith has not featured in any of Everton's last five matches, with Toffees boss Roberto Martinez citing an ankle problem.
The Scot says he is fit and raring to go though – and is not ruling out featuring for City in Saturday's home clash with Liverpool in the Premier League (12.45pm kick-off).
'Since the manager came in, he's shown a desire to build something here and that's something I definitely believe in and want to be part of,' Naismith continued.
'I'm expecting to go straight into the training. The manager will obviously have his thoughts for the game and hopefully I'm involved in some respect.
'I've played a couple of times here and it's always a great atmosphere with a full crowd, and I look forward to being on the right side of the fans.
'I want to settle in quickly, get involved and play my part in games. I want to contribute to a team effort to move this club forward.'
Naismith also thanked Martinez for allowing him to leave, having signed a contract extension in December 2014, which would have kept him with the Merseyside club until the summer of 2019.
'Where I was in my career, the age I am and the way the first half of the season has gone for me, I had to think a lot about the future,' he added.
'When January came, it was a case of knowing exactly where I stood and the manager at Everton was good and said that he'd listen to whatever I wanted.
'Norwich have displayed class in the way they've done their business all the way through, and they've been very persistent.
'They've been fantastic in the sense of showing how much they wanted me, and I'm delighted to be here.'
