Norwich City boss Neil Adams roared 'bring on the derby' after the Canaries' hit back to beat Blackburn 3-1 in Tuesday night's breathless Championship tussle at Carrow Road.

Lewis Grabban's brace and Bradley Johnson's superb lob cancelled out Tom Cairney's first minute opener for Rovers to seal back-to-back home league wins to warm up for Saturday's cross-border trip to bitter rivals Ipswich.

'We knew it was just around the corner but the total focus had to be on Blackburn,' said Adams. 'It is a big game, a huge game. I have played in many and watched many and I know what it means to the supporters of both clubs. It is massive and to be going into it on the back of two wins all I would say is 'bring it on'. We can't wait.'

Adams would not be drawn on whether City could travel to Portman Road with two new faces in his squad. Carlos Cuellar was at Carrow Road on Tuesday night while the club have reportedly agreed a fee for Stoke City's Cameron Jerome.

Leroy Fer's pending move to QPR was also off the agenda for the Norwich boss, with the club believed to have negotiated a deal that could be worth £10m after the Dutchman travelled to London to undergo a medical.

'I'm not going to speak about any transfers in or out of the club. I only want to talk about the game,' said Adams. 'I am learning this side of the game very quickly. You can say one or two things and they flare up and you have an issue on your hands. I know the speculation that is out there but until we have anything concrete in or out I won't comment.

'I was absolutely delighted. I thought it was a fantastic performance from the players. I was critical of the first 15 minutes, where we knew Blackburn would play a certain style up to the big lads and we didn't work on it well enough. That applies to every part of the side, from the strikers through the midfield and the lads at the back.

'They scored a wonder goal but after those first 15 minutes I felt we were tremendous. We looked fit right to the end, we were a threat, we had goals in us and we scored from midfield as well as the strikers. After those opening 15 minutes we looked solid enough and our ball retention was good.'
