West Ham's talisman Dimitri Payet must be dealt with for Norwich to prevail at Upton Park.
Alex Neil is well aware of the threat posed by the French international, who has scored three goals in his first eight Premier League matches since a big-money summer move from Marseille.
'It is not just about stopping him. The one thing I would say is on chances created he is by far and away the one with the highest numbers they have, so obviously that tells you he is a vital player for them and we will have to make sure we pay attention to that. Every team in the Premier League will have a player of that ilk, of varying ability. Every team has got someone who can unlock the door for them. We have got Wes (Hoolahan), he is probably our key contributor when it comes to creating chances.'
Hoolahan was left out at Anfield before a midweek Capital One Cup cameo and Neil is confident the Dubliner can see the bigger picture.
'We have a real good understanding,' he said. 'Wes is one of the vital players within the squad and when we need him he has that little bit of magic that can open defences and be a creative force for us, but there are other games when that is maybe not the order of the day for us, perhaps we have to make sure we are set-up more solidly and build off that platform.
'It would be naïve, in general, to feel you could go into every match and approach it exactly the same way. Football at the top level is not like that and Wes understands that. It is not even a case of setting up differently when we go away because Wes was a big part of the win at Sunderland.'
