Norwich City announce Barclay End stand to be sponsored

Norwich City have announced an historic deal confirming leading bookmakers Coral as new sponsors of the Barclay Stand at Carrow Road.

Since Carrow Road was built in 1935, the Barclay Stand has been the spiritual home of some of the club's noisiest supporters over the decades.

Now Coral are entering into a multi-year partnership which will see thousands of Barclay Stand season ticket holders benefit from specific offers and all fans and members receive special benefits.

This is the first time the Barclay Stand has ever been sponsored, with the betting giants' logo also featuring on both the front and the back of the stand by the end of the month.

The Barclay stand will retain its historic name but will be labelled as the Barclay Stand sponsored by Coral.

Inside the stand Coral will continue the theme of celebrating the Barclay's special place in the club's heritage with nostalgic displays in the concourses reflecting on some of the great Norwich City memories and dramas which have panned out on the pitch in front of the stand over the years.

David McNally, Norwich City's chief executive, said the club was delighted to be teaming up with Coral on this historic and innovative partnership.

He said: 'This is a major partnership for the club as we re-enter the Premier League stage. We're absolutely delighted to welcome Coral on board as our official betting partner and the first-ever sponsors of the Barclay Stand.

'It's a stand close to the hearts of Norwich fans everywhere, so it was vitally important to us to find a partner who would honour and celebrate the heritage of the Barclay with us in such a positive way, while also offering some exciting benefits for the 6,000-plus loyal members of the Yellow Army who sit there on a match day and of course all our other fans.
