Norwich boss Lambert delivers positive injury bulletin

Norwich boss Paul Lambert confirmed at his weekly Colney press conference on Friday morning both James Vaughan and Anthony Pilkington are fit and in contention for this weekend's Premier League trip to Bolton.

Vaughan has recovered from the nasty gashed lip injury sustained in the closing stages of last Sunday's 1-0 home defeat to West Brom. The striker has had stitches in a cut suffered in an elbowing incident with Baggies' defender Gabriel Tamas which landed the Romanian a three game FA ban for violent conduct.

'He's probably better looking now,' joked Lambert. 'Yeah, he's okay. He got a nasty one on his mouth but he is available.'

Pilkington also returns after missing that game with a back complaint. Lambert confirmed defender Zak Whitbread (hamstring) is not fit to be considered for the game at the Reebok Stadium.

'Anthony has trained so Pilks is back in,' said Lambert. 'Zak is not back in at the minute but he is doing really fine. He is not quite right for this weekend. Everybody else seems fine. The two longer term lads - Wardy (Elliott Ward) says it is the best he has felt for a while this week and Dani (Ayala) is also getting there but they are both still a few weeks away.'
