Derby and Stoke look to have moved ahead of Norwich City in the race to sign highly-rated Liverpool talent Harry Wilson, with Jurgen Klopp admitting a loan move is imminent.

The Canaries are reportedly among a host of clubs hoping to sign the 21-year-old winger, although it had previously been suggested the Premier League giants were in no rush to secure a loan exit.

The deadline for loans is not until August 31 and Reds boss Klopp was previously thought to want time to assess Wilson properly during pre-season after an impressive Championship loan with Hull last season.

However, Daily Telegraph reporter John Percy claims recently relegated Stoke have tried to move to the front of the pack but that new Derby boss Frank Lampard has already held talks with the Wales international.

'Stoke have made a new loan offer for #LFC winger Harry Wilson,' Percy posted on Twitter. 'Understand Derby are still in the box seat after Lampard held talks with Wilson over the weekend.'

The Liverpool starlet scored seven goals and set up another three during 14 games with Hull during the second half of the last campaign.

He was left out of the squad for a 0-0 friendly draw with Bury at the weekend, with the Reds having secured Stoke winger Xherdan Shaqiri for a reported £13m on Friday.

'Harry has a lot of interest in him from different clubs, so no risk now,' Klopp told '(Playing) with a little bit tired legs during the game, that makes no sense. So Harry has a little session at home.'
