Millwall have accepted Norwich City's increased bid for Steve Morison and have given the Canaries permission to speak to the striker.

Millwall chief executive Andy Ambler told the club's official website: 'We have allowed Steve to talk to a Premiership club having negotiated a deal that has matched our valuation. It is now for Norwich and Steve to agree terms.'

The 27-year-old confirmed over the weekend that he had been the subject of two transfer bids from the Canaries, prompting him to put in an official transfer request.

The South London Press reported that the Canaries' latest offer - believed to be an initial bid of 2.1m with add-ons - for the Lions' top scorer, had been accepted by the Millwall board after they rejected a third bid on Wednesday.
