Ray Grant salvaged a draw for 10-man Norwich City with a late strike at Boro's Rockliffe Park training facility this afternoon.

The midfielder curled a shot into the top corner of the Boro net in the 86th minute, to send the Canaries home with a valuable point.

Jamar Loza fired a shot over the crossbar as Dmitri Halajko's side made a fast start to the game.

The visitors also went close early on when a Grant free-kick was not cleared but 17-year-old Louis McIntosh fired wide.

City left-back Arinse Uade was then sent off for bringing down a Boro player as he raced through on goal and the hosts took the lead in the 24th minute, after a penalty was given against Joe Crowe.

Boro keeper Joe Fryer made a good save to deny substitute Michee Efete shortly before half-time but the young Canaries remained on the front foot after the break.

Grant was in the right place at the right time to score four minutes from time though, to earn City the draw.
