Manchester United gained revenge for their November loss in Norfolk on Saturday with a comprehensive victory over Chris Hughton's Canaries, whose win at Swansea remains their only three-point Premier League haul away from home this season.
While the Carrow Road win over Everton the previous weekend remains a vital one for City, this weekend's visit from relegation-threatened Southampton will offer another important chance for the Canaries to take the pressure off their travel sickness.
'I think at home we have always felt confident that we can get at least points from games, and I think we have shown that,' said Turner.
'There have only been a couple of games where we have really let ourselves down. Apart from those, we have been strong and we have always felt that we have got a chance of beating teams.'
City's home record is close to the well-regarded records of Swansea and Stoke at the Liberty and Britannia stadiums respectively. As for Southampton, not only did their own home record and form take a knock with defeat to bottom side Queens Park Rangers at the weekend – eight defeats from their 14 away matches suggest they will be there for City to get at come Saturday.
'Of course, they might have a bit more pressure on them now,' added Turner. 'There are teams at the bottom fighting for their lives now and there is still work to be done for us. We will obviously be taking on every game fully focused and aiming to put more points on the board.
'We have got a bit of breathing space between ourselves and the bottom three, but we know what we need to do to stay clear of it and Southampton is a huge game where we will be looking to put in a performance at home again, and take something from that game.'
City's collective cause is one thing, but most Norwich fans would also allow Turner to smile at his own recent form.
And Turner had reason to return the favour after giving their all to the City effort in Manchester.
'I have always believed in my ability that I could perform consistently well for this club, and the last few weeks have obviously been very pleasing for me,' said Turner. 'Old Trafford was disappointing, but it is just one of those things. As a team, we will look to dust ourselves down and get ready for Southampton.'
He added: 'The fans have been fantastic for us and I don't think many of them left at Old Trafford, even when we were 4-0 down. So credit to them for going up there and putting on a show for us.'
