Norwich City's three new signings won't have any problems integrating into the Canaries' tightly-knit squad, according to Kenny McLean.

City have signed Patrick Roberts, Josip Drmic and Ralph Fahrmann to supplement their senior squad so far this summer and the Scotland international thinks the trio will fit in well at Carrow Road.

"I think it's been easy for them," said midfielder McLean as he modelled City's new home kit and met supporters at a launch event.

"It's an excellent changing room to be part of. In terms of transitioning into a new changing room, it's a friendly bunch and we have a bit of banter.

"There's some good boys in there and it's going to make it easy for people coming in here.

"We've signed a few, they're in the door early, which straight away is good for them to get up and running with the boys, and the manager will put his points across with what he wants from them."

The fight for places in that starting XI for the Premier League opener at Liverpool has already begun and McLean insists the trip to Anfield on Friday, August 9, shouldn't hold any fear for them.

"It's obviously one of the toughest starts you can get but it's one that we're looking forward to," said the former Aberdeen man.

"We've worked hard to get ourselves into this position and it's one that we're going to go and enjoy - but we're not just here to make the numbers up, we want to do as well as we can in this league and we've got a lot of belief that we can."

The 27-year-old played a key role in the second half of the Canaries' title-winning season, after shaking off ankle ligament damage, and has enjoyed a rest since last season but was in international action at the start of June.

He helped new boss Steve Clarke get off to a winning start, beating Cyprus 2-1 at home, but then losing 3-0 in Belgium as Euro 2020 qualification continued - playing the full game against stars including Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne.

"It was tough, the result wasn't great, losing 3-0, but I felt pretty comfortable in the game," he added.

"Personally I feel like I can manage myself at this level and I feel like I can handle this level. It's where everybody wants to be and I'm looking forward to pitting myself against the best."
