Norwich City defender Martin Olsson swelled the Canaries' contingent off to Euro 2016 after Sweden edged past Denmark 4-3 on aggregate in their play-off derby.

Olsson came off the bench four minutes from time in Tuesday's second leg in Denmark after suffering with illness since the first leg win in Sweden to replace Pierre Bengtsson.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's double helped Sweden reach their fifth successive European Championship finals after surviving a late onslaught from the hosts. Leading 2-1 from the first leg, the visitors extended their advantage on 19 minutes through Ibrahimovic's scruffy first-time shot from Kim Kallstrom's corner.

Ibrahimovic then clipped in a 25-yard free-kick after 76 minutes to all but clinch a finals spot.

Denmark eventually levelled on the night through Yussuf Poulsen (81) and Jannik Vestergaard (90), but fell two goals short on aggregate.

The Euros could be Ibrahimovic's swansong for his country and the Swede was delighted to answer the taunts of some Danish fans in the build-up

'There was the thought that this would send me into retirement. I sent their entire country into retirement,' he told Sweden's Kanal 5. 'All of the chat before, and we took ourselves to the playoffs. Many were disappointed with that, but we still had a chance. We got Denmark, everything was against us. We hadn't won [against them], I hadn't scored a goal, but we stayed patient. We knew what we wanted: the people who wanted to go to the European Championships most would get there, and that was us.'
