Norwich City are in talks to sign winger Dennis Man - according to reports in Romania and the player’s agent.
The 21-year-old winger has been linked with a host of English clubs after a number of impressive displays for Steaua Bucuresti - with the Canaries rumoured to be leading the way for his signature.
Now fresh reports in Romania on Wednesday afternoon suggest City representatives will attend this evening’s Romanian cup semi-final against Dinamo, with a view to continuing discussions.
City do hold an interest in the youngster but any suggestion they would be willing to sanction a €15m deal is a non starter.
Man, a fully fledged Romanian international, has previously been linked with Manchester United and scored three goals in six matches prior to the enforced coronavirus suspension.
Discussing his client’s potential move to England, Man’s agent listed the Canaries as one of the potential suitors of the Romanian international - although went onto say that any move was far from completed.
“The boss will tell you the details. You know that every time we make a transfer, we want to see it definitively.
The owner has to stand face to face with the club’s representatives and agree, in the coming days. It’s about the Premier League. There are several interested teams, including Norwich.
“The owner will decide, and the figure is €15 million euros,” said Man’s agent Anamaria Prodan on TV Telekom Sport in Romania.
The Canaries have already sought to bolster their attacking options through the signing of Danel Sinani from F91 Dudelange on a pre-contract agreement.
Reports in Romania are also backing up Prodan’s suggestions, with established journalist Emanual Rosu claiming City are in negotiations with FCSB, with Man’s club willing to sell for the right price.
In 2010, the right-winger joined Manchester City for a trial period, but he returned to his native country and later joined UTA Arad. Man joined FCSB in 2016, and has gone onto play over 130 games for the 26 time Romanian champions.
