Norwich City midfielder James Maddison is urging fans to pay tribute to Michelle Dack during Saturday's match.
The Canaries superfan died on Tuesday after a battle with cancer and friends are trying to get as many people as possible to join in with an applause on the 52nd minute.
Maddison tweeted: 'Come on Canaries!! This would be a brilliant send off for Michelle.'
The 21-year-old has already offered his condolences after Mrs Dack's death via Twitter.
Tributes poured in for the 52-year-old grandmother who was a popular face at Carrow Road thanks to her work as a golden goal ticket seller for a number of years.
By the time of her last match at Portman Road in October she had been to 908 consecutive games.
The club have confirmed that a photograph of Mrs Dack will be shown on the big screen before Saturday's match against Middlesbrough.
