Norwich City's Under-18s never recovered from a two-goal burst inside three second half minutes of Tuesday's FA Youth Cup quarter-final defeat to Birmingham City at Carrow Road.

Tom Anderson coolly slotted passt Fergal Hale-Brown in the 52nd minute, before City were punished again for slack marking when Jordan Clarke rifled home from eight yards.

City spurned a number of chances prior to the interval but their lingering hopes of earning a semi-final spot against youth powerhouses Chelsea were ended in emphatic fashion by Josh Andrews' unstoppable long range hit in the 80th minute.

Anthony Spyrou did reply in the final minute of normal time, but the game ended in farcical weather conditions with a heavy snow shower obscuring the lines on the playing surface at Carrow Road.
