Former King's Lynn Town manager and Norwich City Hall of Famer Ian Culverhouse has been confirmed as manager of Grantham Town.
Culverhouse was surprisingly unveiled by the Gingerbreads on Wednesday night, who will operate at the same step three level of the non league pyramid next season as his previous club.
Culverhouse left the Linnets after they lost out in the Southern League, Premier Division play-off final to Slough Town earlier this month.
The former Norwich City player, and assistant to Paul Lambert at Carrow Road, had already made it clear he planned to move on from The Walks before that Slough defeat, despite guiding Lynn to within one win of promotion to the National League.
The Gingerbreads also missed out on sealing a place in the National League set-up last season, falling at the final hurdle in the Northern Premier League play-off final when they lost 2-0 to Ashton United.
'I'm delighted Ian has agreed to become our manager,' said Grantham chairman Roger Booth on his club's official site. 'We hope he can build on the momentum the club has, things are happening in all areas of the club and everyone associated with it has every right to be positive about the clubs future.
'I would like to thank all the other applicants for the position, we really did have a high calibre of managers apply for the position, which made the task for the board that little more difficult, but in Ian I feel we have made the right choice for the clubs future.'
