Norwich City U-23s 2 WBA Under-23s 1
Out-of-favour Kyle Lafferty was on target for City's Under-23s as they came from behind to beat their West Bromwich Albion counterparts at Carrow Road.
A late goal from substitute Louis McIntosh earned the Canaries all three points after his senior colleague had quickly cancelled out an early srtike from the visitors.
Albion took the lead after just three minutes when Danny Barbir took advantage of poor Norwich defending at a corner to prod the ball home.
It was an early shock to the system for the hosts but they were back on level terms three minutes later as Lafferty, who has had limited chances to impress in the first team this season, latched onto a pass over the top and blasted the ball into the roof of the net.
There were chances at both ends after that, with City finally taking one in the final minute when McIntosh, who had only been on the pitch six minutes, bundled home a lose ball to settle the issue.
City: Killip, Efete, Godfrey, Crowe, Odusina, Grant, Adams, Jaiyesimi (McIntosh, 84), Cantwell, Lafferty, Morris. Subs not used: Hallett (GK), Ashley-Seal, Middleton, Aarons.
