Norwich City striker Oli Johnson is to spend a week training with League One side Scunthorpe. The striker is contracted to the Canaries until June 2012 but has not been included in Paul Lambert's Premier League squad.
'We expressed an interest in Oli a while ago,' said Iron manager Alan Knill.
'The problem is we haven't seen him play since he was at Stockport, so we've asked him to train with us and we'll make a decision.'
Johnson featured for the Iron's reserves against Middlesbrough last night and failed to hit the target as Boro won 6-3.
'If he does really well then we could do something,' Knill added.
The 23-year-old striker had a spell on loan at Yeovil earlier this year and was linked with a Glovers return.
