The teenage marksman jetted out to Portugal with his colleagues yesterday for a mid-season training camp, and there was no talk of any transfer being imminent when he boarded the plane.

Worthington admitted making an inquiry about the player earlier in the month but Cardiff - currently just three points off the play-off zone - aren't believed to be in any hurry to sell, and rumour has it they would be looking for in excess of £3m if they were backed into a corner.

For their part Norwich are continuing to keep tight-lipped on all transfer gossip, but it is understood that they have yet to make a firm bid for the player, who has already scored 15 goals for the Bluebirds this season,
