Saturday was Wes Hoolahan's last game for Norwich City – but James Maddison has no idea if the same fate awaits him.
The 21-year-old's breakthrough campaign at the Canaries took in its final outing at Carrow Road on Saturday; one which kicked off with Maddison being named City's player of the season after reaching huge personal heights in a mediocre collective effort.
Maddison's efforts alongside the Canaries' £30m loss of parachute payment revenue this summer underlines the narrative – with almost the entirety of the Premier League being possible suitors for the England Under-21 international.
And while City's out-of-contract legend signed off with Saturday's 2-1 win over Leeds, Sunday's visit to Sheffield Wednesday seems inevitable to repeat the trick – albeit the scenario wouldn't be resolved until the summer truly arrives.

'We'll have to see,' said Maddison. 'I'm not focused on anything else at the minute, but playing. I just want to finish the season as strongly as possible.
'I've got one more game left. I want to go and get a goal, I want to have a good performance, and then we'll see what happens in the summer.'
The summer transfer window will look a little different from this off-season.
It is expected to open in the middle of May – earlier than previously and in order to allow Fifa's regulated 12 weeks of trading, while closing the window before the Premier League kicks off.
It means EFL clubs will have to make all their permanent signings by 5pm on Thursday, August 9 – although they will still be permitted to sell players and sign loans until the end of the month.

Regardless of his own future, Maddison still believes City have the makings of improvement come next season – and the signs were there at the weekend.
'The team played so well against Leeds, Mario Vrancic was outstanding and he is going to be a big part next season – as well as players like Tom Trybull coming back from injury and with Grant Hanley solid at the back,' added Maddison.
'So there's a good spine there. We just haven't showed it on enough occasions this season, but there are definitely positives to take into next.'
