Jamal Lewis hopes in 12 months time, it will be Norwich City that can experience the Championship delight Cardiff took away from Carrow Road on Saturday.
The Bluebirds' dramatic late win did their automatic promotion hopes the world of good – and it showed as the Welsh club's players, fans and especially manager Neil Warnock lapped up three priceless points on Canaries soil.
Cardiff have the Premier League in their own hands with just three game-weeks remaining, while Norwich languish 27 points and 11 places behind – with plenty of time to think about what is needed to compete for something better in the Championship next term.
'Definitely, we'd like to feel that in 12 months,' said Lewis, who only made his professional debut three days before Christmas.
'I think we've given the fans tasters of what we can do. Some games we've played well and not won. Some days we haven't played well and won. So it feels like it's about putting those performances together and being clinical in both boxes.

'That's key to next season and I definitely want to be part of that, winning more games, being higher up the table and giving the fans something to cheer about every game.
'I've loved every single game I've played in. Even away, the fans are so great and show up so well. They're on our side every game.
'That's what I've experienced coming in. I didn't realise how good our fans were until I started playing away and seeing the attendances other teams were getting, so it's a real privilege to play in front of Carrow Road.
'Obviously when we lose I feel for our team but I feel for our fans most importantly, because we just want to give them something to bring home on a Saturday, make them feel good and make us feel good playing for them; just grinding out those three points is most important.'
No one needs to tell City supporters it's goals that breed points. Only the struggling Bs of Bolton, Birmingham, Burton and Barnsley have scored fewer goals per game than Norwich this season – and Lewis has his own take on what's been going wrong.
'I was injured for the first half of the season, so I was watching from the box and I could see we were struggling for goals – it feels like it's been the case for the whole season,' admitted Lewis.
'We do address it. We do try to do finishing in training and all that stuff, but hopefully we can address it for next season. I think that's more in our thoughts now.

'We've still got three games left of this one and we're not taking them lightly at all, but definitely next season we want to show the fans we can play well and be clinical, and keep clean sheets – and put it all together.
'I do think we've got the quality; (James) Maddison and Nelson (Oliveira) have shown us what they can do. Dennis (Srbeny) can chip in as well, and Josh (Murphy).
'So I think we've got the attacking players. It's just a feeling from the back that sometimes we're not on the same wavelength or maybe make the wrong decision.
'Hopefully these are things we can pick up and work on, become more of a cohesive group and make the decision for the right player. Maybe not taking the shot and playing the pass so the ball comes across for the right player.
'Sometimes it feels like the ball just drops for the opposition and never drops for us in the box. I feel like we have to work quite hard for our goals, but maybe that's something we can improve on next season: being more clinical and taking the pressure off the whole team and the defence.'
