Irish striker Adam Idah has continued his excellent first season as a Norwich City player with a hat-trick against the under-18s of Tottenham Hotspur.

The Republic of Ireland Under-17 international, signed last summer, took his U18s tally for the season to 14 goals from 22 games as he led City to a 5-3 victory over Spurs at Colney on Wednesday.

Idah, 17, scored the goals alongside Connor Parsons and an unnamed trialist to bounce back from a 3-2 defeat at Swansea in U18 Premier League South on Saturday, in which Idah and Finlay Barnes had scored.

The young Canaries are bottom of their league and look likely to stay unless they win their final two league games convincingly, at home to Fulham on Saturday and away to Leicester the following weekend, as they are five points adrift after three wins from 20 games.
