Norwich City's new loan signing Graham Dorrans could be the missing ingredient in the Canaries' Championship promotion push, insists West Brom boss Tony Pulis.

The Baggies' chief was unable to offer Dorrans regular first team football at the Hawthorns, which prompted a failed deadline day transfer move from Norwich prior to completing an initial short term loan move until March 22.

Dorrans is eligible to make his City debut in this weekend's Championship trip to Watford and Pulis has given the Scottish international a ringing endorsement.

'Graham has been a great servant to this football club over seven years. The club paid a couple of hundred thousand pounds for him,' he said. 'I only worked with him for a short period of time but I found him to be a very good lad and a very good professional. Norwich have got a good player.

'I am sure he will help them get where they want to get, whether it is play-offs or automatic promotion. Graham will certainly be an asset to Norwich City football club. As a person, and as a professional, everything he did around the place was absolutely first class.'
