Alex Neil respects the threat posed by West Ham but the Norwich City boss wants his side to prove they are also Premier League quality at Carrow Road.

The Canaries look to end a run of five straight top flight defeats on Saturday against a Hammers' outfit firmly in the mix for European qualification.

Slaven Bilic's side also reached the FA Cup fifth round in midweek after knocking out Liverpool before influential midfielder Dimitri Payet signed a longer term deal at the Boleyn on Thursday to prolong the feelgood factor.

'They have some good players, but so have we. We have to influence our style on them,' said Neil, speaking at Colney on Friday afternoon. 'I think there season has been a bit up and down. They beat Arsenal and Manchester City away from home so they did exceptionally well. They had a couple of injuries, particularly to the boy Dimitri Payet, and they found it extremely tough to win the games in that spell and since he has come back they have picked back up.'

Andre Wisdom is ruled out with a knee injury and Alex Tettey is suspended but Graham Dorrans is in contention after recovering from a sickness bug.

'Graham has been training this week, which is a step forward. Earlier in the week he was still getting back up-to-speed but he is training so he is available,' said Neil. 'Andre Wisdom has been struggling with his knee, he has not been taking part for the last week and a half and that will continue to be the case this weekend.'

Chelsea loan striker Patrick Bamford is pushing for his first Norwich start after a cameo in last weekend's 2-0 Premier League defeat at Aston Villa.

'Patrick is a clever lad. He is an intelligent player. He doesn't rely on physical power, he finds good positions in the box, he can play a variety of positions and he will be useful to us between now and the end of the season. He is certainly in the frame (for West Ham).

'As a team, we've got to try and get the supporters off their seats by putting in a good performance. We'll try our very best and the fans have then got to try and do their bit. We need to rally around each other and make sure everybody's pushing the one way, and if we do that there's no reason why we can't get the result.

'Once you get a victory under your belt, the picture changes again. I think that's what happens when you're down at the bottom end of the table, particularly when things are so tight.'
