Angus Gunn is confident Norwich City can still save their Championship season – and be the side that makes a late charge for the play-offs.

For some, Norwich City's next four fixtures are crucial to ensuring Norwich don't get dragged into any unforeseen Championship relegation trouble – a point Angus Gunn has made himself.

However, the on-loan Manchester City goalkeeper also believes some positive results can kick-start something far more productive.

'Of course we still feel we can save our season,' said the 21-year-old. 'There are so many games in the Christmas period that if we have a good run we will be up there. There are always teams that come from far to challenge for the play-offs and we want to be one of those teams.

'Possibly Saturday is a reality check but we were probably the better team if you look at it, and Leeds are near the top six now.

'If we can perform like that against most teams in the Championship, then there is no reason why we can't pick up points. At the end of the day we didn't put the ball in the net on Saturday…but teams aren't breaking us down too easily. So that's a positive thing, but we need to start picking up three points.

'I wouldn't say we're on a bad run – we've just won a game at home. We were previously, but you can't look too far in the past. You've got to look forward.

'In the Championship the games come thick and fast, so you've got to pick up fast and get the points.

'It's frustrating for everyone but like we showed in our last home game, the wins will come.

'If we keep performing like we have been in recent weeks and rectify the small mistakes, then we will beat most teams in the Championship I think.'
