Steven Naismith's return from a hamstring injury could be good news for Yanic Wildschut.

Alex Neil admits City's deadline night signing has struggled to make a big impact as he adapts to his new surroundings.

'He has come from Wigan where the demands on him were different,' he said. 'He was perhaps deemed as one of their better players and they allowed him to just get the ball and run at defenders whereas with us we have a whole host of good players so we can't just base our game around him solely. That is going to take some time to adjust.

'With Steven missing that has limited the options on that flank, in terms of a physical presence. You are talking perhaps Wes (Hoolahan) or Alex Pritchard, who are very different type of players. It has allowed Yanic the opportunity to play games but the downside is we have not been able to gradually phase him in. Nelson (Oliveira) is a perfect example. Nelson came in, we knew how good he was, but he had to fully understand his role and responsibility within the team.'
