Norwich City duo Kyle Lafferty and Martin Olsson made a welcome return to full first team training in Monday's open session at Carrow Road.

Alex Neil put his squad through their paces ahead of Tuesday's Capital One Cup tie at Rotherham in front of a crowd of fans young and old, before City's squad posed for pictures and signed autographs.

Northern Irish international Lafferty has not featured at all this campaign after suffering a knee injury in pre-season, while Olsson underwent shoulder surgery in May days after the Championship play-off final win at Wembley that has kept him out of City's Premier League plans.

Neil hinted last week the cup tie at the Millers may come too soon for the duo to be considered, but both could be in contention for Sunday's televised league trip to Southampton if they suffer no adverse reaction to a return to full training.
