Player ratings for both Norwich City and Fulham following their Premier League clash.
• Norwich City
6 John Ruddy: Superb tip onto his bar to deny Fulham a third after the interval. May feel could have done better with both goals.
6 Russell Martin: Offered plenty of width in attacking thrusts. Good outlet in the first half after Fulham's initial surge.
7 Ryan Bennett: Two crucial last ditch blocks. Dominant aerially on set pieces. Encouraging debut.
6 Elliott Ward: One excellent saving challenge after the break. Struggled along with rest of defence early on.
6 Zak Whitbread: Failed to cut out Bryan Ruiz's initial strike for the opener. Sacrificed at half-time to get Simeon Jackson into the fray.
6 Kyle Naughton: Caught wrong-side by Damien Duff's movement for Fulham's second. More assured in the second half.
6 Jonny Howson: Tried to get Norwich on the front foot after early setbacks. Failed to hit the target with keeper to beat.
6 David Fox: Dangerous set-piece delivery as usual. Difficult task gaining parity with Fulham's two sitting midfielders.
6 Andrew Surman: Willing worker. Plenty of movement across central areas, but tough ask when City were on the back foot.
7 Wes Hoolahan: Created Norwich's goal. Picked out Jonny Howson for their best first half chance. Needed more support.
5 Steve Morison: Tough shift in the first period against Fulham's two centre backs. Marginal improvement with Jackson's entry.
Subs: Simeon Jackson (for Whitbread) 6, Elliott Bennet (for Fox) 6, Aaron Wilbraham (for Morison) 7
• Fulham
7 Mark Schwarzer: Calm, assured. Excellent low stop to keep out Wes Hoolahan. No chance with Norwich goal.
6 Stephen Kelly: Denied by Ryan Bennett after one penetrative burst. Disciplined role tucked in behind Bryan Ruiz.
6 Brede Hangeland: Had the upper hand in his battle with Steve Morison. An imposing figure.
6 Aaron Hughes: Reacted well to deny Andrew Surman from close range. Wasted a good chance for a Fulham third.
6 John Arne Riise: Not the force of old when in his Liverpool pomp. Good, experienced foil for Damien Duff.
6 Danny Murphy: Gets it, gives it. Simple game when the former Red is in possession. Sets the metronomic tone.
7 Mousa Dembele: Tactically sharp. Intelligent link ups with Clint Dempsey. Spurned two good first half chances.
8 Clint Dempsey: Scored the first, created the second. Masterful display of attacking midfield play at times from the American.
6 Bryan Ruiz: An assist for the opening goal after swerving around Zak Whitbread. Superb vision for Stephen Kelly chance.
7 Damien Duff: Little trace of panic when faced with the advancing John Ruddy for Fulham's second. Still a class operator.
6 Pavel Pogrebnyak: Forced to exit the scene with an old ankle injury. Good movement and a physical presence.
Subs: Alex Kacaniklic (for Pogrebnyak) 6, Mahamadou Diarra (for Murphy) 5, Dickson Etuhu (for Ruiz) 5
