The international breaks comes to a conclusion this evening, with five of Norwich City’s players potentially in action.

Danel Sinani scored his third goal of the break on Tuesday night, following up a brace in a 2-0 home win over Cyprus on Saturday with a late winner for Luxembourg in Montenegro, moving his nation top of Group C1.

It was a 26th senior international cap for City’s 23-year-old summer signing, who is spending the season on loan with Belgian top flight side Waasland-Beveren, having signed a contract until 2023.

While in Wolverhampton, Max Aarons and Oliver Skipp played the full game as the England U21s beat Turkey 2-1 at Molineux to seal qualification for next year’s European U21 Championship.

Earlier in the day there was also a third Wales Under-19 cap for Norwich keeper Daniel Barden, playing the final 33 minutes of a 2-0 friendly defeat to the England U19s at St George’s Park.

Both goals were scored prior to his introduction, with Barden having made his senior debut during City’s 3-1 loss at Luton in the League Cup first round in September.

This evening it’s Nations League action, with Canaries players potentially facing each other again in Group B4 as Teemu Pukki and Finland entertain Adam Idah and the Republic of Ireland (5pm kick-off).

However, it’s unclear if both strikers will feature, with Pukki needing an injection due to an infected toe but played all but the last few minutes of a 2-0 home win over Bulgaria on Sunday, earning his 83rd cap and setting up one of the goals.

Idah has rejoined the Ireland squad after an unusual brush with Covid-19 regulations, after a member of Stephen Kenny’s backroom staff tested positive who Idah and Aaron Connolly had sat near on the plane to Slovenia, with both forwards then missing the European Championship play-off semi-final, which ended in a 4-2 defeat on penalties after a 0-0 draw.

The 19-year-old, who earned his first two senior caps last month, returned to Norwich and after negative tests he missed the 0-0 home draw with Wales in the Nations League on Sunday but has returned to the fold and flown to Helsinki.

Kenny McLean could also be in action with Scotland. The midfielder came on for the final seven minutes of extra-time of a 0-0 home draw with Israel last Thursday, scoring the winning penalty in the shoot-out to seal a European Championship qualification play-off final place.

He then earned his 13th cap when playing all of a 1-0 home win over Slovakia in Group B2 of the Nations League on Saturday, facing former Norwich team-mate Ondrej Duda. Tonight’s it’s another home game, against Czech Republic (7.45pm).

Otherwise, City goalkeepers Tim Krul and Michael McGovern look likely to return to back-up duties with Holland and Northern Ireland respectively.

Krul, 32, made his first appearance for the Dutch in five years as he played a 1-0 friendly defeat to Mexico in Amsterdam last Wednesday.

That was a ninth cap but Valencia’s Jasper Cillessen reclaimed the gloves for a 0-0 draw in Bosnia & Herzegovina in Group A1 of the Nations League on Sunday, ahead of tonight’s game in Italy (7.45pm).

It’s a similar story for 36-year-old McGovern, who made his first competitive appearance in almost three years as Northern Ireland lost 1-0 at home to Austria in Group B1 on Sunday.

That was just three days after a penalty shoot-out victory in Bosnia in the European Championship play-offs though, with Burnley keeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell rested but likely to return in Norway tonight (7.45pm) - who are spearheaded by Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland, who has 11 goals in nine games for club and country so far this season.
