Former Norwich City academy product Tom Adeyemi has signed a two-year deal with Championship club Birmingham.

The 21-year-old was a free agent after being one of ten players released by the Canaries at the end of last season. Adeyemi moves to St Andrews to link up with ex-City assistant manager Lee Clark after a season-long loan stint at Brentford that ended in League One play-off final defeat at Wembley.

'He's a player I know really well,' said Clark. 'I worked with him during my time at Norwich when he was a youngster at the club. 'I've followed his progress since, He's done exceptionally well on loan at a few different clubs and I'm delighted to bring him here. Tom is a terrific young lad who is a powerful and athletic midfield player who can get forward and score goals.'

Adeyemi made 11 first team appearances for the Canaries after making his debut in the infamous 7-1 League One home defeat to Colchester in 2009.

Meanwhile, Clark also confirmed on Monday to BBC WM the Blues have accepted two bids from unamed clubs for England U21 flyer Nathan Redmond. The Canaries and Premier League rivals Fulham had both recently been linked with the youngster.
