Norwich City fans have flooded onto Twitter and online message boards tonight to give their reaction to the news that Neil Adams has been appointed manager.
The announcement seems to have caught many by surprise, with external candidates such as Neil Lennon, Gianfranco Zola and Malky Mackay thought to be among the frontrunners.
In Adams' five games in charge at the end of last season, his side scored only two goals and gained just one point, and many fans had written off his chances of being made full time manager.
However, many gave him their backing online tonight and congratulated the club for putting its faith in him.
Others claimed the decision to hand him the job showed a lack of ambition on the part of the club.
