Norwich City duo Robbie Brady and Wes Hoolahan both featured in the Republic of Ireland's 3-0 defeat to Belgium in their Euro 2016 Group E clash in Bordeaux.
Brady was pushed into midfield with Burnley's Stephen Ward coming in at left-back in, whilst Hoolahan found himself in a supporting role behind striker Shane Long.
Romelu Lukaku struck twice to help Belgium to a comfortable victory in Bordeaux.
Lukaku put the Belgians ahead three minutes into the second half and then helped himself to a second with 20 minutes remaining after Axel Witsel had made it 2-0.
Ireland were able to produce little of note and will now need to beat Italy in their final game if they are to stand a chance of emerging from Group E.
