Drawing at Derby County has teed up next Sunday's East Anglian derby battle at Carrow Road perfectly, thanks to James Maddison's 10th goal of the season for the Canaries.

With Ipswich drawing 0-0 at home to lowly Burton today, as City held the promotion chasing Rams to a 1-1 draw at Pride Park, the teams are still separated in the table by goal-difference.

It means the Canaries are still in 13th and eight points adrift of the play-offs but now guaranteed to go above their bitter rivals with victory next Sunday and potentially up to 10th place.

Maddison's penalty in the 72nd minute sealed a deserved point at second-placed Derby, after Matej Vydra had fired the hosts in front early on and Nelson Oliveira saw his penalty saved by Scott Carson late in the first half.

Daniel Farke's team have now lost just one of their last eight Championship fixtures, winning five of them to keep hopes of a top-six finish alive.
