Our Norwich City correspondent Paddy Davitt has posted his marks following the Canaries' Championship deadlock

This is Paddy's verdict on Daniel Farke's troops after a frustrating affair at Carrow Road.

• Angus Gunn

Smart tip over to deny Adam Hammill. Kept out another couple of low efforts from the Barnsley dangerman. Exposed once again through one lapse from the men in front. 7.0

• Ivo Pinto

Overloaded at the back post for Harvey Barnes' clinical finish. One of the few in this Norwich side who is currently maintaining a level of consistency. 7.0

• Timm Klose

Stranded out of position in the build up that led to Barnsley's riposte early in the second period. 6.5

• Grant Hanley

Aggressive in his tackling. Good reading of the game. Statement made. 7.5

• James Husband

Looks off the pace. Too many warning signs down his flank. Substituted for his own protection. 5.0

• Tom Trybull

Limped away after damaging his hip. Bright early on but looks a shadow of the man dictating the tempo in City's brightest parts of this season. Much too easy how George Moncur glided away to tee up Barnsley's leveller. 5.5

• Marco Stiepermann

On the fringes of this one throughout. Took a poke in the eye as well for his troubles. Will be needed at left back on Tuesday you suspect in the absence of the suspended James Husband. 6.0

Unusually slack with his first touch during the opening period. One step over and strike in the second half tipped over by Adam Davies. 6.5

• Mario Vrancic

In the side to create. Precious little evidence of that. Failing to convince on a routine basis, despite the faith of his head coach. 5.5

• Josh Murphy

Second goal in two games. The deflection was a reward for his willingenss to get an early strike away. But still more likely to frustrate than thrill when in decent positions. 6.5

• Nelson Oliveira

No goal on his comeback but a number of range finders attempted. Needs far more support and a quality supply line, but keep him fit and he will score goals. 7.0

City substitutes

• Christoph Zimmermann

Not the introduction he was hoping for. Unable to halt Moncur as he slalomed across the City penalty area. Solid thereafter. 6.0

(for James Husband, 45)

• Marley Watkins

Difficult to make his mark in a series of short cameos recently, but did not further his claims here. 6.0

(for Josh Murphy, 75)

• Yanic Wildschut n/a

(for Tom Trybull, 81)
