Crystal Palace have had the covers on Selhurst Park this week and while there is no undersoil heating, they are confident the pitch will be playable unless there is a major freeze.
Day-time temperatures are expected to hover around freezing point in London over the next two days, with hard overnight frosts, but there is a possibility of slightly less cold air moving on on the day of the game.
No heavy snow is predicted so the key to the match going ahead will be how well the Palace covers deal with the frost on Saturday night.
